This is the first time I am trying out your service. I want to do a free ticket, but I need to limit it to 12. When I choose a ticket with a price I can limit it, but I cannot charge 0. Any suggestions?

Thanks for trying out Shindigg!
Currently you can either choose to set up your event in "RSVP mode" which has no limits, or you can setup a ticketed event where you can configure prices and limits (although as you've noticed, the price must be greater than 0).
Unfortunately we don't have direct support for the scenario you describe, although we do have plans to add it in the future.
The best suggestion I would have at the moment would be to create an RSVP event and let people know that you can only take the first 12 RSVPs and that you'll let them know if they RSVP in time. I realize that's not ideal. You would however still be able to publish your event online and use Shindigg's integrated email marketing system to get the word out.
At the moment our primary focus is on ticketed events, but as I mentioned we'll be adding some more features for free events in the near future. Sorry that's probably not the answer you were looking for.
Feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can help with.
